BAG-407 – LOS ANGELES ABRASION VALUE

The Los Angeles Abrasion Test is widely used as an indicator of the relative quality of aggregates. The test measures the degradation of standard aggregate gradations when subjected to abrasion and impact in a rotating steel drum containing an abrasive charge of steel balls. Up to twelve steel balls are used, depending on the gradation of the test sample.
The unit is fully coated with electrostatic paint and can be easily set to comply with ASTM and EN standards. The desired number of rotations can be selected, and the machine automatically stops after the preset number of revolutions.
